6/1/2011-ACTING-Filming on Music Video for “All Fall Down”

-Today I was involved in a Music Video shoot of the song “All Fall Down” by Rocky Graziano. I believe there will be 2 versions-one that will be all band and then one with clips from the movie “Night Run” in it at various times.

-This was shot in Illion, NY in a very hot room-as you can see by my shirt. I really enjoyed it though. When I was working on the set for the CAROLINE BLUE Music Video “Pain” last year-that actually gave me a huge motivational kick to pursue acting more. The song is very cool-didn’t take me long to figure it out so I looked 1/2 way like I was playing it when we syncing to the playback. And no, I didn’t do what I normally do w/ CB videos. This is Rocky’s vid-I behaved myself….mostly 🙂

-Also got to revamp the “Mr. White” character I played in “Night Run”. Doing that scene almost took as long as the video shoot (HA!) 🙂 Again, had a great time and it was cool working w/ the Mad Angel Film crew again. Thanks to Roc for having me onboard w/ this. 5/27/2011-ACTING-Third Time Filming for “Stone”

-This is basically my last day for filming on “Stone” (although not the last day of all the filming) and this was at night somewhere in the depths of Utica / Frankfort. This is basically for the big “climax” at the end of Series 1.

-The lights were all set up and filming just got underway when it started to rain heavily-w/ lightning. That’s the main problem so we went inside the garage and waited to see if the lightning would end…or at least decrease. None of us needs to have an afro right now (HA!)….This would happen 3 more times.

-Most of the filming was done with various degrees of rain happening. Some of the fight scenes were filmed while the rain was really coming down. Obviously we all got soaked, but it will add to the scenes we did here. All of my stuff got done. I might be coming in again to do some overdubs-depends on how much the rain interfered with the audio pick up.

-Just a few things to mention. There were a number of firsts for me on this scene. My 1st fight scene-from someone who fought back I should say). My 1st time working w/ CGI (you’ll see later on) and the 1st time I had to hold up a woman (Emily) over my shoulder while people were reviewing the script 🙂 She wasn’t heavy but gravity was starting to take effect as time went on 🙂

-You know-people might think getting soaked in a suit and filming under those conditions was bad. Not for me. I’d rather be doing this than a normal 9-5 job any day. No complaints from me. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again-it was great work w/ this cast & crew-great job by everyone. Thank you all for letting me be a part of this. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product and hopes everyone enjoys watching it as much we enjoyed making it. Pics are up on my acting page on Facebook.

5/24/2011-CHARITY-Videos of WWJ Performing at Tribute to Dio

-Hey folks-as you can see from the videos above, there’s a few videos up from the Tribute to Dio show at The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, NY on 5/145/2011. The 1st is a Dio song named “Gypsy” and the 2nd is an Elf song called “Hoochie Koochie Lady.” On both songs I played lead guitar. All proceeds from this show went to The Stand Up & Shout Foundation. 5/22/2011-ACTING-Second Time Filming with “Stone”

-My 2nd week of shooting. The 1st scene was to have been done last week, but the rain prevented it. It’s a scene that introduces the FBI agents. It went by quickly-although by the amount of pics taken, you might not think so. I got to be a little “intimidating” in the scene so that was cool. Then we went back to the studio for the next scene-meeting with others who were already there.

-We had to stop for lunch cause Matt needed pizza boxes for the scene so….Wings were also ordered but no blue cheese-which put some in a fowl mood (HA!) 😉 Then we got rolling. Some parts w/ the others and then I was up again. This scene involved a little of the “ultra-violence.” Woo Hoo-no one’s gonna mess w/ me after this (HA!) 🙂 This didn’t take too long either. It was getting hot & humid though-and wearing a suit in those conditions isn’t the most comfortable-but you make due right? It was fun and I got to be a little more “dramatic” than usual.

-It was again a blast working w/ everyone and had a great time-not only acting in the front of the camera, but watching the others do the same. I couldn’t stay for the rest of the day’s filming due to a show commitment w/ CAROLINE BLUE later in the day. One more scene left to film and it’s the big one-the final showdown. Looking forward to it-after I get my suit pressed & cleaned of course 🙂 More pics have been added to my acting page on Facebook.

5/18/2011-ACTING-I’ve Been Cast in “For Tomorrow We Die”

-I have been notified that I have been cast in a War Drama called “For Tomorrow We Die” as Dorgan-a supporting lead role. Filming is planned to take place in Sept-Oct. 5/15/2011-ACTING-First Day Filming on “Stone”

-This was my 1st day filming with the web series “Stone”. I believe they’d started a week earlier. I play the role of Agent Pagano of the FBI. We were in 3 locations thru out the day.

-The 1st was outside the bus station. As you might or might not see by the pics-it was basically raining in various degrees all day. If everyone here had colds the next day-now you know why 🙂 I didn’t have any scenes here so I was there to help out and crack cornball / cheesy jokes-and pose for the camera (HA!) 🙂

-The 2nd location was 2 different areas of Utica real estate 🙂 I have to say, these locations have a great atmosphere & feel to them. More rain, more posing & more cornball / cheesy jokes. You would think that I’d be bored-no camera time yet-but it was just the opposite. Many times acting is something you learn from observing-whether it’s watching TV / movies or being on the set. Watching what other actors are doing is a great learning experience-plus you’re also rooting for the “team” so to speak-at least I am. Working w/ great people helps to raise yourself to that level.

3rd location was back at the bus station-but this time inside. Got some time in front of the camera here. I had an idea for the scene but there were no lockers around so it was scraped. Oh well. And yes, the cornball remarks were in high gear-but it wasn’t all from me. It’s cool though-it’s part of what makes the process fun. I blew a few takes but for the most part got thru it. It’s interesting how you can have a scene pictured in your head and then, when it comes time to film, how different it actually is from that.

-There was another scene I was in to be filmed this day but the rain was coming down harder so it had to be postponed till next week. It’s OK-another week to solidify the lines and add some “character” 🙂

-All in all, I had a great time and am glad to be working with such a great cast & crew. Looking forward to next week’s shoot! Pics can be seen on my acting page on Facebook

5/14/2011-CHARITY-Race For The Cure 5K Run

-After 5 hours sleep (I had a radio interview in Geneva,NY for The Metallic Onslaught Friday night-my fault BTW why I didn’t get home earlier), I met Mikey for breakfast at Denny’s. Considering how my car was last year, this year I decided to car pool. Interestingly enough, we didn’t get stuck in a line. It was an overcast day, but the rain held off till the tail end of the race. We ran into a few people that we knew & talked for awhile before the race. This time I was a lot closer to the starting line than last year.

Had a good race. I was cramping on the side a little-maybe due to the water bottle I downed just before the start. I have to admit it is a little disheartening seeing people pushing strollers past you, but I just ran my race. The main thing is to finish it non-stop-which I did. Ran 3.1 miles in 32:48 minutes. I thought I did better than last year, but I just read last year’s entry and that said I came in on the 30 min. mark. I thought it was 35. Oh well…

-Got a few more pics as you can see. We initially got caught in a traffic grid lock, but Mikey went another way and we got out of there quicker than expected. A great time overall and now it’s time for a power nap 🙂 Pics can be seen on the WWJ PAGE ON FACEBOOK
