5/14/2011-MUSIC / BENEFIT-Tribute to Dio Show

-The night of the show. There were a lot of people here. I didn’t show up till around 11 PM and ran into A LOT of people I knew-even before I went inside. It was really cool to get re-acquainted w/ old friends. Made some new ones too.

-The show was great-all the musicians involved were doing a great job. I was hoping I could make the grade when it was my turn. I got up there and, just like that-the 2 songs just flew by. Had a great time while I was up there-even more so cause I’d never jammed with any of these guys (some who I’ve known for years) on a stage before so that was an extra treat. The crowd response was great & I received a lot of nice compliments on my playing this night. I also got my butt grabbed a number of times-there’s even a pic in this album that caught a moment. Guess those P90X workouts are really working (HA!) 🙂 Course-I also got grabbed in family jewels and it was by an ex-part time CAROLINE BLUE member…that’s why he’s an Ex (HA!) 🙂

-I want to thank Terry & Scott for thinking of including me in this way back in the beginning, all the great musicians who were on stage this night and all the awesome people who were here for this special night. 5/7/2011-ACTING-Second Day Filming With “Sins of a Father”

-The 1st 4 pics from this album was from the last shoot. The next 56 came from cameras from me, Jason Covey & Lisa Sear. On this day I had to 2 more extra roles-a church goer and a family man at a picnic (with 2 wives?? But I wasn’t gonna argue w/ the producer-even though one was his sister & the other was his girlfriend-HA! 🙂 ). Obviously I had to change clothes and try to modify my facial features a little bit so I wouldn’t totally look like the same person in all 4 roles.

-Did I say 4? Yes. The night before I got a call from Rachel wanting to know if I wanted to play the part of the lead detective (has no name-yet the secondary one does-go figure (HA!) :). I was in a scene w/ 1 1/2 pages of dialog-and I had about 1/3 to say. I said sure and got a copy of it Friday night. One cool thing was I had to take notes so, since I would be wearing shades, I came up w/ the idea to write my lines on the notes. Not bad right? 🙂

-This took most of the day. We 1st filmed in a church-and even had to use a few of the actual church goers there as extras. I have to wonder if they would’ve done so had they’d known the actual storyline for the movie… 😉 Then we moved to a park and then an area adjacent to the park.

-I had a great time and a lot of fun. The casts & crews for the Mad Angel Films have been great to work with and I’ll be doing so again when my character in “Stone” gets filmed starting next weekend. Pics are now up on my acting page on Facebook.

5/5/2011-ACTING-Meeting With Producer Scott Lancer

-I had a meeting w/ director David Scott in Geneva (at a McDonalds) in regards to my role in his horror film. Very cool & looking forward to filming in June. We actually talked for a few hours-longer than originally planned. Definitely will show sides of me never seen before in my previous projects.

5/4/2011-MUSIC / BENEFIT-Rehearsal for Tribute to Dio Show

-I was asked a few weeks ago if I would like to play guitar on a couple of songs for this Tribute to Dio show. That in itself was an honor but the fact that proceeds from this show will be going to the Stand Up & Shout Foundation-I was definitely in. The 1st batch of pics were from a rehearsal at Terry Leroi’s place on 5/4/2011. I’m going to be playing on 2 songs-“Gypsy” (from the Holy Diver CD) and “Hoochie Koochie Lady” which is a song from the Elf days. The rehearsal was fun and it was great to get back in touch w/ some old friends-as well as make some new ones. I’ll be back with a followup after the show-with hopefully more pics! 🙂

4/25/2011-ACTING-I’ve Been Cast in “Equitable Exchange”

-I’d just been notified that I now have the role of “Bryce” in a horror movie called “Equitable Exchange.” Filming will take place the 1st 2 weekends in June. I’ll keep everyone updated on this. My 1st role as a stoner-should be interesting! 🙂 I actually auditioned for 3 roles for this-including Bryce. I remember when director Scott Lancer saw me for the first he took one look at me and said “Bryce!” 🙂

4/23/2011-ACTING-First Day Filming With “Sins of a Father”

-I had talked w/ Rachel Powers-producer of this film-in regards to another project and this film was brought up. It had already been cast but she did say she needed some extras for a few scenes so I said sure! Originally there were suppose to be 3 scenes filmed-and I would have to change outfits/looks w/ each one-but it rained this day so 2 of them had to be postponed. That left this one in the funeral home.

-It’s fun to participate in filming-not just when you’re being filmed but when others are too. I kinda use it as a learning experience to see how others do their stuff and picture how I would do if I was under those circumstances. Course, as Melissa found out to her dismay (HA!), I tend to crack A LOT of cheesy/corny & sometimes out & out bad jokes. One time the camera was on us and we’re suppose to be sad & in mourning but-in part cause I knew her boyfriend Matt (who was running the camera with the oh so sensitive mic) could hear every word I said, I cracked a cheesy sex joke which caused her to laugh out loud-and Matt kept filming 🙂

-This only took a few hours, but even just doing extra work, the time (for me) seemed to fly by. I’m glad I could be a part of this and it was great to see/work w/ friends and make new some new ones too. Pics are now up on my acting page on Facebook.

4/17/2011-ACTING-Filmed on “Night Run” Today

-I was contacted a week or 2 ago by Matt Peters of Mad Angel Films wanting to know if I’d like to play the role of “Mr. White” in his film “Night Run”. It’s actually pretty close to being finished. I said sure and was there on a rooftop of a parking garage in downtown Utica. A cold breezy day. I think I was the only one not wearing a jacket thru out. This only took a few hours and I’m glad it all got done before the rain came down-which unfortunately did cause another scene with the others to be postponed.

-I had a great time and a lot of fun. Everything went pretty smoothly. At one point I had to fall back on the pavement a few times so that was interesting. I have to say-seeing Roc & Dave being put in the trunk of that car-I was actually glad not to have a lead role in this 🙂 I believe with this, I’ll be at the beginning of the film, a few times thru out and towards the end.

-Again, I had a great time and it’s always fun working with great people. Mad Angel Films is also the ones who are filming the web series “Stone” which I have a role in so I’m looking forward to that and hopefully more roles with them in the future. Pics are up on the WWJ PAGE ON FACEBOOK
