9/10/2011-ACTING-First Day Filming on “For Tomorrow We Die”

-This was my 1st day of shooting on “For Tomorrow We Die.” They actually started filming the day before. I will only be there 4 times-once per weekend-unless they need me for additional pick ups. I heard about this via Craigslist back in May I believe and drove out towards Rochester to audition. I hit 3 roles-none of which I got 🙂 However, they did give me one of the supporting lead roles that has a lot of meat to it-although originally it was cast for a female-how’s that? 🙂 So my role is Chief Medical Officer Dorgan. The setting is on an alien planet at war & I kinda take the lead character-a raw rookie named Jabilo. I believe this is a pilot for a TV series-although I’m still not 100% sure.

-I started off being late but still got there before shooting started. One of the crew guys-Steven-helped me get into uniform. I have to say they have some great props on location here. There were only 3 actors here-me, Joshua Radford (Jabilo) & Albert Young (Sarge). The rest were crew & extras. It was great working w/ all of them. Also Emily S. & Michael F.-who wrote & are directing/producing this) were also part of the crew for the movie “Equitable Exchange” I shot a few months back.

-We just shot 1 scene today-#2 when Sarge & Jabilo meet-who in turn introduces him to me while I’m suturing a wounded soldier. Good thing I looked up what “Suturing” was & watched a video clip of it so I wouldn’t look like a total numb nuts doing it (HA!) 🙂 Time went by a lot faster than I expected, but we got the scene done.

-All & all I had a great time & am glad to be a part of this. Looking forward to next week’s shoot! Pics are up on my acting page on Facebook.
