7/14/2014-ACTING-Zombie Short Film “Locked In” Released

-Filmed in June 2014, this is a zombie short film by HEWITT FILMS originally to be submitted for a film contest by SRS CINEMA LLC. I presume it wasn’t cause it was released Saturday night so…I play the role of “Knife” in this. A different type of role for me cause he is quite the stereotypical nerd (my “type” is usually that of the bad guy / villain / killer ) so this was basically a stretch for me. I had a lot of fun with the role and had a great time working with a great cast and crew. Below is a recap I did shortly after filming. Pics can now be seen on my acting page on Facebook. Enjoy 🙂

-6/16/2014-Later this day I went down to a bar named Pooches to film in “Locked In”-a zombie short film by Hewitt Films. Directing this would be Anwar Armstrong. I played the role of “Knife” (or “Knife-Man”)-a computer nerd basically. I went thru a few ideas in terms of the way I wanted to look and sound-even temp. dyed my hair dirty blonde at one point. In the end, I went with a look that makes me look like an Alfalfa wanna-be and sounding a little like someone I actually know 🙂

– In this, I’m basically in victim as well as nerd mode-which is quite different from my usual villain role. I think I did fine-the other guys were laughing at my expense from time to time, which was cool. I did have fun playing this. It did rain a little outside so that delayed filming for awhile, but we got this all down in a day-even got to eat some stew 🙂 I did get slightly injured towards the end. If you see the pics of my finger, that’s real blood coming out. No worries. Also got a nice scratch on my left wrist that drew blood.

-In addition, when I arrived, I immediately had a wardrobe malfunction with the suspenders. Luckily I brought a spare. At times we’d be outside taking a break and / or getting some fresh air and we’d get the strangest looks. It was great working with all the other guys in this and hopefully, this will be out before year’s end.

7/9/2014-ACTING-Ep. 5 of Season 2’s “Super Knocked Up” Web Series Released

-The season finale (episode 5) of Season 2’s SUPER KNOCKED UP Web Series has now been released. I make a quick cameo appearance as the super villain “Rampage” for the cliffhanger at the end. Pics from the shoot & rehearsals (back in October / November 2012) can now be seen on my acting page on Facebook.

7/1/2014-ACTING-Back From Filming on “Mind Sifter” for Star Trek New Voyages:Phase II

-Getting back into the normal routine & grind after returning from filming in Ticonderoga, NY for STAR TREK NEW VOYAGES:PHASE II on their episode “Mind Sifter” (Reprising my recurring role of Ensign Dawson Walking Bear). Had a great time and it was great to reconnect with many old friends-as well as make some new ones. The new studio is awesome and now has AC (*YES!*) -even though my “Sweaty Bear” nickname was still said way more than the others, as well as being the most apparent Of course, part of that was due to the herculean 21+ hour shoot we did on my last day there…. I did take some pics but have to wait for them to be approved before posting. Great cast & crew and looking forward to working with them all in the future.

6/9/2014-ACTING-Cameo In “Landing” Music Video By Hobo Grafitti

-6/8/2014-Last month I saw a calling for people to be in a music video shoot for the song “Landing” by HOBO GRAFFITI. At the time, my schedule didn’t seem so hectic so I asked if I could be of service. Director Randy Zaborowski (Z PRODUCTIONZ) immediately cast me as a bouncer who gets to manhandle the lead actor out of Mac’s Bad Art Bar.

-The day of the shoot was a hot one and even with me just standing still, my shirt-at times-started to turn dark gray due to sweat :). The scene I was in was done first and we did a few rehearsals before doing the actual take. One cool thing to hear was that, during the rehearsals, a number of people were thinking this was happening for real and one guy outside even told Randy to give them a warning when this was happening cause they thought I was really throwing actor Steve Reith out onto the pavement for real. The shooting happened pretty quickly. I couldn’t stay for the whole shoot, but I did get to hang out for a little bit and get some extra shots. It was also cool to run into a number of people that, not only I haven’t seen in awhile but also people I’ve done other film projects with-including some that are coming up. It was also cool to make some new friends here as well. I had a good time and hope the video comes out great. I’ll be sharing it on here and all my other networks when it’s released.

6/2/2014-ACTING-Pics / Recap Up From Last Week’s Filming on “Slade Collins 2:In & Out of Time”

-05/31/2014-Filming on this day started at around 10 AM. My character, Captain Morris, wasn’t in the scenes being filmed, but I did have a chance to play a hooded henchman. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it due to sleep reasons, so I showed up right as it was ending. After all the filming was done at the church, we went to the other location and had lunch. Then filming started again. My stuff was at the tail end of it. This was originally scheduled to be my last day filming on this, but I still have a couple of scenes to film so we’ll have to see if they can be re-scheduled. I’m losing the stache for another role at the end of next week so scheduling should be interesting.
