-On August 12-14, the TREKONDEROGA Star Trek convention will take place in Ticonderoga, NY. The location for this will be at the same place where Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II filmed their episodes. For those who don’t know, these sets are now licensed by CBS as a tour resort and, as a result, STNV has now become the STAR TREK ORIGINAL SERIES SET TOUR. All the Star Trek sets from the original series have been meticulously recreated-standing on those sets, you’ll feel like you went back in time. I’m not just hyping this-I played the role of Walking Bear for some of the episodes of STNV and, being on those sets myself, admit that it was quite the pleasantly surreal experience. As you can see from the pic, several Star Trek TOS alumni will be there as well. 🙂 Bonus-there will also be a Blues Brothers tribute show-as well as an Elvis tribute show by James Cawley, the head of STNV / Star Trek Tours.
