4/16-17/2016-I was contacted recently by Eliana Lustig, who I worked with on ‘The Ferryman’ (still unreleased) a few years ago asking if I could help her with her short film ‘Buried.’ I’d be playing a character named “Legs” and filming would take place over the past weekend. I was told that the reason his name was “Legs” was due to that was all you could see when I was next to six year old Tyler-the lead-and his stuffed animal Baboo. I read over the script and liked it, plus it’s always good to work with future people in the industry (cast & crew) so I jumped in.
-Filming took place at the Eastwood Baptist Church on Saturday and the Fayetteville Cemetery on Sunday. I had a few lines on Saturday. Small cast & crew, but everyone knew what to do and filming went by relatively fast-although, as always, the rule of “hurry up & wait” applied. 🙂
It was a nice change of pace for me. I wasn’t playing the bad guy nor was I doing anything to change my voice. I don’t mind doing that stuff-it’s part of my type after all-but it’s nice to get do “normal” roles from time to time to balance things out. Filming at a cemetery is always…interesting for me. This went by even faster than Saturday. The weather was being very kind to us today. Kinda funny that, when I got my prop flower, it was almost already broken. Just like that, filming was done and I was soon on my way home.
-Thanks to Eliana for thinking of me for this and to all the cast & crew for a fun experience. Hope the movie comes out great and grateful to have been a part of it. Pics can be seen on my page on Facebook.
