-Just back from filming a small scene in “King of the Neighborhood”-a comedy film by Joesph Basla. He’s also one of the leads. The other lead is Tommy DeSocio and manning the camera is Nick Compoli.
-I saw an ad for roles in this on Craigslist a month or 2 ago-went over and got the small supporting role of a jogger (who happens to be an Iraq War veteran) who sees 2 teenagers at a lemonade stand. Their story is that Tommy was in Iraq, got captured by the enemy and during that time was raped and got AIDS. While talking to them their story falls apart, I catch on, and then wreck havok on them. π
-Nice hot & humid day. I was lucky in that we got to filming the scene I was in right away and this only took a few hours. We had to do different takes due to angles, but very few mess ups from anyone. Wish I had some pics of me “teaching them a lesson” but I guess you’ll have to wait to see the film for that π The last take for the final part of the scene was the best & I’m glad what I did to Tommy got captured. Another plus was my last lines in the end weren’t in the script-I came up w/ them and they liked them. Glad I wasn’t the only one who though they were funny π
-Everything went great-with the exception of the stand falling apart shortly after I arrived so time had to be spent repairing it. I have to admit it was kinda weird running in those shoes…kinda hard to stop in them when going full sprint too. π
-Had a great time working w/ Joe, Nick & Tommy and I want to thank them for the opportunity to have a part in their film. You can check out updates on this film on their page. Pics are on the WWJ PAGE ON FACEBOOK
