-Back in October 2013 I did some voice over work for THE SYRACUSE ACADEMY OF SCIENCE CHARTER SCHOOL via Terry Little for JD FILM. The video is now online and here ya go! That’s me narrating in the video in case ya didn’t know 🙂
-It doesn’t seem like it was one month before Thanksgiving and now it’s just 4 days away. Feels like it won’t be long before Christmas & 2014 are here.
-Went to the calling hours of friend and former CB sound man Art Bennett Thursday. There’s a pic and remembrance of him on the CAROLINE BLUE page. You also may notice taht on the CAROLINE BLUE FACEBOOK PAGE I’ve started to again bring over past pics. Going backwards & currently in 2005. The reason is the main CB website is currently being re-hauled and streamlined. Planning on relaunching the site within the first few months of 2014 or less. A number of things are being planned & worked on on that front.
-With acting just doing rehearsals for some upcoming stuff and in talks about future projects…
-I also finally finished up redoing my own website (which, of course, is where you are reading this-all 2 of you (HA!) 🙂 . I started it back in 2007 but by 2009 it was just kinda lumbering in cyberspace-badly outdated in appearance and info. There’s a lot of stuff on there-including the blog I had on from My Space. IMO, it’s good to have a home base for your stuff. While FB seems quite permanent, many thought the same of My Space back in it’s heyday and look at it now.. Hope everyone had a great weekend & a Happy Thanksgiving / Turkey Day!

Wrapped up filming on SU student film “Memory” earlier today. Just had a few outdoor action shots to do. The cold brought back memories of filming on “Night of Something Strange” and “To Have & To Hold” back in November 2011. No new pics to put up. Good working with the cast / crew of “Memory” and glad I was able to help them out. Past pics / recaps are on my acting page on Facebook
-Second day filming on “Memory.” Call time was at 9:00 AM. Basically had 2 dialogue scenes and some quick action scenes to do. We finished the dialogue scenes but, because of the weather, we didn’t get to the action scenes done. Plans are being made to snag them this following week.
-Things went by fairly quickly today. I can’t remember the last time I was in a frat house. Everyone again was very nice and accommodating. Everyone will be happy to know I didn’t break anything on this shoot-what a concept! 🙂 Pics / recap are now up on my acting page on Facebook
-My 2nd and final (unless needed for pick up shots and / or ADR) day of filming for “Briarwood.” This took place at The Gear Factory in Syracuse. I’d filmed here before in 2010 for a CAROLINE BLUE music video called “Pain.” Time flies…
(2010)-CAROLINE BLUE-“PAIN”
-I arrived and director Ryan Farmer took me and Jody P. to the room where filming was to be done and we went over the blocking as well as rehearsing the scene several times. One thing of interest is that I had to fall onto the concrete floor twice in the scene. There was a pad there for me to land on, but it never got used. Method acting… 🙂 I’m actually used to having to fall with no padding-although let me state that, if given the choice, I always prefer to use one. Safety first ya know…plus I’m not getting any younger…
-Being that we were filming in the basement of this huge building, all audio captured here was loaded with reverb. After filming, me and Ryan went to the fourth floor and did some ADR but without actually being able to see myself doing the scene while trying to lip sync, there is a chance that I’ll have to come in at a later date to replace all my vocals (hence ADR=Automatic Dialog Replacement).
-In addition, as you can see from the pics, I got a little “battered” in this scene so I had FX makeup on. I have to admit this was the first time that I had a FX effect “loaded” onto me in a certain way 🙂 (someone did get pics of it so they might pop up at some point-and if they do. I’ll copy them here). It’s always fun to be under FX makeup albeit this being more ammo for the “WWJ getting killed” slideshow 🙂
-I was basically here for about 8 hours, which may seem like a long time but when you enjoy doing something, time just flies on by. It was great working with the cast and crew for this and I’m thankful to have the opportunity to work with them all. I believe the projected completion date for this is April 2014.
