9/23/2012-ACTING-Fourth Day Filming on “Ward’s Island”

-The 4th day of filming was back at the Niagara Falls Airport-this time I would be a SWAT member. Got one scene done as that. Then a SWAT van arrived and we proceeded to do rehearsals when I got injured and had to be replaced-that sucked… 😦 I still managed to play one of the dead victims in the airport so I was still working. 🙂 Got my shirt torn up and had blood / wounds on me. Also, got to briefly meet Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”). The injury really brought down what would’ve been an excellent day for me. Just what I needed right? All I can do is rest and do the best I can to heal…

9/22/2012-ACTING-Third Day Filming on “Ward’s Island”

-My 3rd day of filming on “Ward’s Island” brought me & Kirk LaSalle to Niagara Falls Airport. Today’s role was that of an airplane passenger-one of many who panic during a werewolf attack and run like hell to get out of the airport. Glad I do my P90X 🙂 A few people did get injured while running. I almost got into a tricky situation myself. During one of the runs, I was ahead of everyone as we got to the main doors. Normally they slide open automatically-but this time they were closed-with a whole group of people right behind me! I got the door open in time 🙂 This was an all day shoot but a lot of fun-and got a little bit of a workout in as well! 🙂

9/18/2012-ACTING-New Trailer For “Half Dead” Released

9/17/2012-ACTING-Second Day Filming on “Ward’s Island”

-My 2nd day of filming on “Ward’s Island” was a little rough. Part of that was having a call time of 7 AM-which meant leaving by 5 AM after getting back home around 10-11 PM the night before. Today I got to play the role of a soldier-which meant slicking & tying my hair back tight. I even had a hair net on. It took them awhile to find a cap to fit my watermelon head, but they got one. We only did one scene today-broken up into several sections. Basically the soldiers were attacking the werewolves-which are all CGI so for this we were fighting thin air. Most of the time we were charging across a field. I had to hold a riot shield, which started to get heavy after awhile, and a pistol. A fun but hard day. The extras only had to be there for a half day so that was cool. Traffic during the early afternoon of Buffalo was quite congested. I fell asleep during the ride back-and we had to pull into a rest stop for more sleep cause Kirk needed it too….

9/16/2012-ACTING-First Day on the Set of “Ward’s Island”

-Today was my 1st day on the set of “Ward’s Island”-a werewolf movie being filmed in Buffalo, NY. I had been alerted to it awhile back and was lucky enough to get in. Initially they were looking for just SAG actors for the speaking roles. I’m only SAG-Eligible so I had to settle for extra roles-which on a project like this is OK w/ me.

-I wasn’t suppose to be on the set till 2 AM but my ride, Kirk LaSalle, had a call time of 7 AM so I left w/ Kirk. I had 2 roles to play this day. The 1st was being one of the “contagious” and ended up being in a scene w/ Ariana Richards (“Jurassic Park”). Very nice & very professional. That scene took awhile to do because of a train that was determined to go across the bridge before we were filming. Eventually, the train had to back up. The 2nd role was that of a protester w/ a group of others just outside of a metal fence. No pics allowed to be posted till after the movie is released.

-This is a deleted scene from “For Tomorrow We Die”-a RIT student film staring Josh Radford, Kayla Garret, Wayne W. Johnson that’s me! 🙂 ), Ken Dauer, and Al Young. The film follows Jabilo, the medic, as he learns that brotherhood and camaraderie are worth preserving no matter the cost. I play the role of Dorgan-the lead medic. Directed by Emily Sawdey & produced by Michael Fox.
