Pic provided by Justin M. Seaman as part of the promotion for the horror anthology film CRYPTIDS , which has been nominated for 11 awards at The 2023 HORRORHOUND FILM FESTIVAL – including JOE BOB BRIGGS (playing the role of Harlan Dean) for Best Lead Actor and myself (Wayne W Johnson) for Best Supporting Actor (playing the role of The Man in Black). Wish us all good luck!
-Here’s a pic of me at premiere #2 (cast / crew only) for TALES OF DRACULA: Dracula Meets The Wolfman. It was in an actual theater this time. However, due to some complications, Tales 2 was not shown so we ended up seeing the first Tales of Dracula again. Check out the recap for more details as well as more pics via the link below.
-4/30/2023 – Here’s a pic of me (WWJ) with director Joe DeMuro during Premiere #1 (Cast / Crew Only) for TALES OF DRACULA: Dracula Meets The Wolfman. I play the role of Dracula in this. It was good seeing some of the cast / crew here (sadly, not everyone could make it) and it was cool to see the finished version of this – as well as finding out the film will be just five minutes shy of being able to be labelled a feature film 😦 Nevertheless, I look forward to it’s release and your reactions to it.
-Pics / Recap from the premiere can be seen via the link below
-Above is a link to an interview I did with Mike Deyulio and Jeff Alfreds for their podcast THE GOOD, THE BAND AND THE UGLY. It’s hosted by Spotify and I was just eight minutes shy of matching Darrell R. White’s mark 🙂 We got into a number of topics including my acting career, CAROLINE BLUE and more…. Check it out (Season 1, Episode 11) and thanks to both Mike and Jeff for having me on.
-Horror / Martial Arts / Zombie Film JOHNNY Z will be showing at the 2023 CRIMSON SCREEN HORROR FILM FESTIVAL. Directed by Jonathan Straiton and staring Michael Merchant, Felix Cortes, Jason Delgado and more. I play the role of Monster Boy in this.
*UPDATE* – Two other films that I appear in ( CRYPTIDS and THE BARN II ) are also showing that weekend (Woo Hoo!) 🙂
-On 04/02/2023, I headed out to Endicott, NY to do some ADR for the classic horror film TALES OF DRACULA: Dracula Meets The Wolfman. They had like 1,000+ audio files but luckily, there was only one that they couldn’t find so I had to go in and redo it. Not to jinks myself, but I’m good at doing ADR and I basically got it the first try – but we did it 4-5 more times to make sure as well as having a backup. Then it was over – just like that. It took maybe 10 minutes to set up and get done, yet took me one and a half hours to get there from Syracuse one way. Having said that, it’s fine with me; part of the business. I did get some great audio advice in regards to home studios as well as a blooper clip which I can release till the film comes out. I believe there’s a premiere for cast / crew approaching and I will be there for that. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
